Goombi Renewable Energy Hub
The Goombi Renewable Energy Hub (GREH) is a 800MW wind farm and battery energy storage system (BESS) project proposed for the locality of Goombi, in the Western Downs region of Queensland. The Project is located approximately 20 km to the east of Miles and 16 km to the west of Chinchilla.
The GREH will comprise of up to 107 wind turbines and a 600MW/2,400MWh BESS.
GREH is being developed by LPRP in partnership with TagEnergy.
Belah BESS
The Belah BESS is a proposed Battery Energy Storage facility located 19km south of Chinchilla and 22km west of Kogan on the intersection of Avenue Rd and Kogan-Condamine Highway.
The BESS is a large-scale energy storage facility capable of delivering 400 megawatts of power for up to 4 hours continuously, providing power to homes across Queensland during peak demand and stabilising the grid.
The Belah BESS is being developed by LPRP in partnership with Eku Energy.
Monogorilby Renewable Energy Project
The Monogorilby Renewable Energy Project (MREP)is a 400-600MW wind farm and battery energy storage system (BESS) project proposed near Monogorilby in the Western Downs and North Burnett regions of Queensland. The project is located approximately 55km southwest of Mundubbera, 80km north of Chinchilla and 270km northwest of Brisbane.
The MREP will comprise of up to 100 wind turbines and a 400MW/1,600MWh BESS.
MREP is being developed by LPRP in partnership with Intera Renewables.
